Huge Snowfalls in Colorado

Vanoise Express Re-Opens On Saturday

By Patrick Thorne 12/18/08 The Vanoise Express cable car, a key artery of the Paradiski (Les Arcs-La Plagne) ski area, will re-open on Saturday 20 December, in time for the start of the 2008/09 winter season. At the end of several months' work to replace its four load-bearing cables, the Vanoise Express has passed all the required safety tests under the supervision of the Departmental Public Works Authority. After two weeks of testing, the departmental supervisory body granted official approval for the cable car to be put into service and opened to skiers. Read more
